Making

BLEIB SAUBER

“BLEIB SAUBER” means keep clean. The performance took place at the Goldener Reiter in Dresden, a major intersection and tourist destination, and in front of the Hörsaalzentrum on the campus of the Technical University Dresden. The performance lasted 8 hours per day and was performed for 4 consecutive days in each location. The performers covered the space with white tape, cleaned the tape obsessively, alternating between manic actions and lethargy, all against the backdrop of urban activity. BLEIB SAUBER is a performative installation in response to the crystal meth abuse epidemic in Dresden and Saxony.
